
Creating a Branding Guide
After nearly two years working as a social media manager for Florida State University’s Office of Faculty Development and Advancement, I had a strong understanding of our social media identity. My team and I were able to create quality content across 3 platforms while maintaining consistent branding.
As our team’s tenure began to come to an end, I saw a gap in our social media team’s toolbox: although we had an abstract idea of our platform’s branding style, we lacked a physical guide to refer to.
I felt a style guide would enable future teams to maintain the identity of @FSUFaculty while also empowering them to explore ideas and create new types of content.
I successfully pitched the idea to my supervisor, and with input from her and my team members, I created the @FSUFaculty Style Guide.
